Pike County equaled their win total from 2011 by taking a season opening win against Goshen last week.
Head coach Fred Holland was asked what his team had to do to keep the good times rolling, and his answer was short and sweet.
“Get better,” Holland said.
Pike County will get the opportunity to show how much they have improved Friday night. The Bulldogs travel to Clayton to tangle with the Barbour County Jaguars.
Barbour County moves up to 3A from 2A this season, but brings a winning reputation with it. The Jags advanced to the second round of the playoffs last season, and captured a region title in the 2A ranks a few years back.
Pike will turn to running back Damion Adams and quarterback Kamari Jackson to lead the Bulldogs to another win against the Jags.
Pike County has never lost to Barbour County, and has outscored the Jaguars 133-6 in two games.
Kickoff for the region clash is set for 7 p.m. from Jaguar Field in Clayton.
