Mrs. Mary Frances Register “Granny” Davis, Born January, 4, 1918, died at home surrounded by family and friends on August 30, 2012.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Minister Floyd Noble officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

She is survived by four Daughter Margie Witherington of Troy, Carolyn and Tommy Wood of Grove Hill, Brenda and Don Ponder of Opelika and Linda and Stanley Henderson of Goshen, a son James Ebbin and Lucy Register of Troy a daughter-in-law Jinnie Ruth Davis of Troy, a brother Russell Register of Troy, 31 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, 28 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred M. Davis, Sr., three sons William Madison Davis “Matt”, Fred M. Davis Jr. “Freddie”, and John Paterson Davis, 5 grandchildren, on great grandchild.

Active pallbearers will be Junior Register, Ross Wood, Cliff Davis, Thomas Davis, Jeffery Henderson, and Michael Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be her other grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Church of Christ.
