“We opened (the season) with a tough area match against Ashford and just didn’t play well,” Sikes said. “I’m happy with the way we responded today.”

Charles Henderson lost to Goshen on Monday.

The Trojans will return to the court on Aug. 30 when they take on Carroll in Troy.

The team played with a special pink volleyball to honor Goshen High School coach Dee Hughes who is battling brest cancer.
