New managing editor named

Robbyn Brooks has been named managing editor for Troy Publications Inc.

Brooks has been a staff writer with Troy Publications since December 2011. She is a 2001 graduate of Troy University and has been in the news business for more than 10 years. She started her career as a photojournalist for WSFA in Montgomery, worked as a reporter for WNCF and then headed further south to the Florida Panhandle where she was a reporter and editor for a group of Freedom Communications publications – including the Destin Log and Northwest Florida Daily News.

Brooks recently married college classmate Aaron Taylor and they live in Troy with their two cats, Bart and Toby, and a German shepherd, Ajax, who they adopted from the local shelter.
