Mary Jane Hughes announces her candidacy for town council member of the Town of Goshen.

Hughes is a longtime resident of Goshen where she and her husband, Johnny, have lived the last 44 years.

“I will work for all the people of Goshen whom I love and want to serve to the best of my ability,” Hughes said. “I would greatly appreciate your vote in the Aug. 28, 2012 election. Thank you, everyone, for your support.”

Hughes and her husband are active members of the Goshen Baptist Church where they both enjoy the fellowship of their church family.

Hughes is planning a retirement in the near future, which she said will give her plenty of time to serve her community.
