Goshen man killed in crash

A Goshen man was killed in a single-vehicle crash this week, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Willie Earl Taylor, 54, was a passenger in a 1990 Nissan Maxima driven by Antony Earl Finney, Jr., 21, of Troy. Finney lost control of his vehicle about 6:10 p.m. on County Road 2243, two miles east of Goshen, Tuesday. He ran off the roadway, overturned and struck two unoccupied vehicles.

Taylor was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, according to information provided by Troopers.

Finney and two other passengers were transported to Troy Regional Medical Center where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers reported Taylor was not wearing his seatbelt and speed was a factor in the wreck. The crash is still under investigation.
