Troy O-Zone eliminated with 6-4 loss to Tennessee

Troy was eliminated from the Dixie O-Zone World Series in Cleveland, Miss., with a 6-4 loss to Tennessee on Monday.

With Troy leading 3-0, Tennessee scored five runs in the fifth inning to take the lead.

Brian Redmon scored on a fielder’s choice from Garrett Tucker in the bottom of the fifth to slim the deficit to one, 6-5. Tennessee would get the run back,however, in the sixth and shut the down on Troy in the home half.

Redmon singled home Carson Tucker in the second to put Troy ahead 1-0. Hunter Reeves homered in the fourth scoring Wood Jinright to extend the advantage to 3-0.

Tennessee’s explosion in the fifth would ultimately down Troy.
