Kilgore (Tex.) scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back as they defeated Troy, 15-10, in the Dixie O-Zone World Series in Cleveland, Miss.

Dawson Hamlin blasted a three-run home run in the second inning cutting Troy deficit to two, 6-4. It wouldn’t be enough, however, as Texas added a run in the third, two in the fourth, another in the fifth, and five in the sixth.

Hamlin double home Graham Wilkes and Reed Jinright singled to score Garrett Tucker in the fourth. Troy attempted to stage a late rally in the sixth, scoring four runs but were retired before doing any more damage.
