Blown tire causes ambulance crash

A blown tire led to the ambulance crash that sent three people to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

State troopers released the cause of the wreck Friday.
At about 2:15 p.m. Thursday, a Dothan ambulance bound for Birmingham with a pregnant patient on board flipped on U.S. Highway 231 north of Troy.
The ambulance flipped and the patient was taken to Montgomery for an evaluation. The nurse accompanying her and the ambulance driver were transported to Troy Regional Medical Center.
According to troopers, the pregnant woman was not injured. The driver suffered bruising and the nurse had cuts to her face.
