For the second straight game, Troy needed a big play in the Dixie O-Zone State tournament. For the second straight game, Troy got one in the form of a home run.
Tied 5-5 in the ninth inning, Hunter Reeves launched a 3-2 pitch over the right field wall to give Troy the lead over Dothan Americans. Cole Little would single home Graham Wilkes to cap the scoring and hand Troy the 8-5 victory.
Wilkes also homered, a two run blast, in the third inning.
Troy pounded two 2-run homers in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Spanish Fort.
Troy improves to 3-0 in the tournament and will play at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
