Troy O-Zone rips AUM

FAIRHOPE – Troy scored five runs in each the first and fourth innings to pull away from AUM, 12-2, in the Dixie O-Zone State Tournament in Fairhope on Saturday.
AUM took an early lead with a solo home run in the first but Troy answered in the bottom of the frame. Reed Jinright led off the inning with a double and would later score on an error. Wilkes had a single and scored in the first while Garrett Tucker, Hunter Reeves and Juhmir Lampley also scored.
Reed Jinright and Brian Redmon finished 2-for-2 while Wood Jinright was 2-for-3. Cole Little and Ridge Knotts also had hits.
Little started on the mound for Troy and pitched two innings allowing one run on three hits. Wilkes tossed the final two frames giving up a run on just one hit while striking out three.
