Drew Starling and Jarrell Lawson each homered as Troy’s Dixie Boys picked up a 7-5 victory over Taylor/Rehobeth Saturday morning in the losers bracket of the District 6 tournament.

Starling launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first inning to give Troy an early advantage while Lawson blasted a 2-run long ball in the third. Keigan Simmons singled and score in the third also to put Troy ahead 5-2.

Troy would tack on two more runs to back Ty Witherington’s solid six inning outing on the mound.

Troy will play again Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Troy Sportsplex.
