Dan M. Harris, Jr., age 86 of Troy, died Friday, July 6, 2012 in Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Rev. Perry Green officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca H. Fowee of Troy; a son and daughter-in-law, Dan M. (Sherry J.) Harris, III of Montgomery; his grandchildren, Christi H. (Al) Nix of Prattville and Joy H. (Clint) Allen of Centre; his great grandchildren, Katie Elizabeth Harris, Haylee Crimson Baggett, Brayden Baggett, Brody Baggett, Anna Kathryn Allen, Emily Lynn Allen, Cooper Allen, and Mary Charlotte Allen; a sister, Annette (Paul) Boswell; and a niece, Paula (Robert) Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Elizabeth Harris, and his parents, Dan and Ella Cleone Williford Harris.

Mr. Harris was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Shrine Club and an Army Air force Veteran of WWII.
