James Isaac Jinright

James Isaac Jinright, 93, of Dublin, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2012 after a long illness. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday July 6, 2012 from the chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Mallone Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in Dublin Cemetery, 299 Huffman Road, Grady,AL with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Isaac was born on December 27, 1918, to the late Joseph Vernon Jinright, Sr. and Alma Dawkins Jinright Isaac. In his early years, he hauled pulpwood for Gilbert Sellers, Sr. of Ramer and then turned to dairy farming in the Pike Road Community. He moved to Florida where he owned and operated a produce transportation business with his brother, Ray. Returning to Alabama, he worked for the Montgomery County Bridge Crew under Joe Henry Neugent. Later, he was a heavy equipment operator building ponds, clearing land and constructing drainage ditches. All along this time, he was raising beef cattle. His most lasting job was with the Sellers Station Water System, where he worked until January 2012.

Isaac is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Alice Rials Jinright; three brothers, J.V. Jinright, Jr., Willie Wiley Jinright, and Winnie Ray Jinright; and his infant sister, Glennie Jinright. Surviving to cherish his memories are his son, Robert Isaac ( Carolyn) Jinright, Sr.; his daughter, Rosemary (Malloy) Chandler; five grandchildren, Yvonne (Jimmy) Lee, Yvette (Jim) Brady, Bobbie Renee (John) Barsukoff, Robert I. (Aimee) Jinright, Jr., and Brian (Renee) Chandler; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Whitaker, Jacob Whitaker, Lauran Brady, Kayla Brady, Heather Barsukoff, Cole Isaac Barsukoff, and Allyson Chandler; brother, Perry Clyde ( Ann Lee) Jinright; and a host of family and friends.

The family expresses their thanks to a special caregiver, Darlene Harrod, and Alacare Hospice. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Lee, John Barsukoff, Jacob Whitaker, Jim Brady, Brian Chandler, and Robert Rials. Honorary pallbearers will be Moses M. Sellers, Floyd Glenn Hicks, Donald Hicks, and A.C. “Pee Wee“ Ray.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that any memorial donations be made to the Dublin Cemetery Fund, c/o Dublin Church of Christ, 203 Huffman Road, Grady, AL 36036.
