Gerald Edward Flowers

Gerald Edward “Edgar” Flowers, age 75, of Brundidge, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at Haw Hill Assembly of God Church on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Shirley Ellis, Rev. Larry Doster, and Rev. Calvin Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in the Haw Hill Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Hayes Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at Haw Hill Assembly of God Church on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Mr. Flowers will lie-in-state in the church one hour prior to services on Thursday.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Flowers of Brundidge; daughter, Rebecca (Dwain) Thomas of Brundidge; grandson, Toby (Misty) Wambles of Brundidge; grandson, Ashley Thomas of Brundidge; great-granddaughter, Makenzie Wambles of Elba; great-grandson, Hunter Wambles of Brundidge; great-grandson, Gage Wambles of Brundidge; sister, Lessie Mae (Louie) Wilson of Goshen; sister, Gladys (Earl Gene) McClendon of Valley; brother, Joe Bob (Willie Nell) Flowers of Troy; and brother, Lorenza Flowers of Phenix City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
