Carrie Lee Copeland
Carrie Lee Copeland, age 86, a native of Brundidge, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Frisco, Texas. Services will be held at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Wayne L. Brown officiating. Rev. Major Lane will serve as Pastor and Pulpit Conductor. George F. Grubbs Funeral Home will direct the services.
Mrs. Copeland was born October 16, 1925 to the late Sam and Arie Burney. She was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an Usher and was a member of the Missionary Society, Matrons, Ladies Aide and Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. (Mancy) Copeland, Sr.; parents, Sam and Arie Burney; and sisters, Willie B. Burney and Onie B. James.
She leaves loving memories to be cherished by two children, William Howard (Annette) Copeland, Jr., Akron, OH and Mary H. (Wayne) Brown, Prosper, TX; sisters, Henrietta Gant, Cleveland, OH and Lois (Joe) Foster, Brundidge; two grandsons, Dale (Terry) Clark, Dallas, TX and Lamar Copeland, Akron, OH; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.
