For at least 16 years, the Hall School of Journalism at Troy University has split between print and broadcast students for an annual softball game held on Dead Day.

The TrojanVision team walked away the victors this year with an eight to three lead over the Tropolitan. Rachel Scarbrough, a broadcast student on the TV team, was named Most Valuable Player. Scarbrough scored one of the eight runs for the TV team and also closed out the game, beating a Trop player to home base to snag the third out in the bottom of the seventh.

Per tradition, both teams closed out the annual event with a cookout hosted by the Hall School.
