Mary Blackwell

Mary L. Blackwell of Ariton, passed away Saturday, April 28. 2012, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. She was 63. Graveside services for Mary L. Blackwell will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Brundidge with Rev. Kenneth Baggett officiating and Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Mrs. Blackwell was born October 9, 1948 in Eunice, FL., daughter of the late Clyde Myers and Alda Louise Lampley Myers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blackwell was preceded in death by a daughter, Nicole Blackwell; sister, Ann Marie Scofeild; and a brother, Bill Myers.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Blackwell, Ariton; two daughters, Alda Rene Childs, Troy and Tammi Allen Harris, Anchorage, Alaska; one son, Thomas Alan Blackwell II, Nashville, TN; three granddaughters, Taylor Allen, Troy, Patricia Rodgers, St. Petersburg, FL, Tiffiany Hazel, Brundidge, three grandsons, Brian Childs and Tara Parker-Routzong, both of Troy, and Chelsey Harris, Anchorage, Alaska; sister, Anita Dufek, Jacksonville, FL; brother, Ronnie Myers, Lebanon, TN; and a special dear friend; Ingrid Richards, Banks.
