Fernie Ray Jordan, age 73, of Troy, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Baptist South in Montgomery.

Fernie was born September 22, 1938 to Foster and Stella Renfroe Jordan.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Needmore Road with Richard Ward officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Fuller Jordan; a daughter, Karen (Craig) Martin of Marietta, GA; a son, Jeff (Laurie Lynn) Jordan of Troy; two grandchildren, Erin and Jeffrey Jordan; sisters, Marjorie Locklar of Columbus, GA and Mildred Jordan of Rome, GA; brothers, John Jordan of Union Springs, Tim (Dee) Jordan of Dothan, Alonzo (Debra) Jordan of Prattville, and Mickey (Kathy) Jordan of Dothan; mother-in-law, Annie Fuller of Troy; eight nieces; four nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Stella Jordan; a nephew, Craig Otting; a brother-in-law, Virgil “Red” Locklar; and a sister-in-law, Faye English Jordan.

Active pallbearers will be Craig Martin, Donnie Renfroe, Wade Locklar, Terry Richards, Butch Austin, and Bobby Childs.
