It is the second reported sexual assault to have taken place at Hunter’s Mountain on Monday.

Police were notified about 11:30 p.m. Monday that a Troy University student had been sexually assaulted during a burglary at her residence in Hunter’s Mountain. The woman told police the attack occurred around 3:30 p.m. that day and she identified her attacker as a black man between 40 and 50 years old. She described him as about 6 feet tall with a low haircut, weighing about 250 pounds. The man was wearing a black or dark blue shirt and loose-fitting black or blue jeans.

Police did not release a description of the attacker in the second incident.

Ennis said police continue to investigate both cases. “We urge the public to give police any information they may have about these crimes or similar crimes,” he said.
