The Rebels scratched out a run in the bottom half but Lawson would slam the door on the mound to preserve the win.

“It’s a big win,” head coach Derek Irons said. “It’s a good win but the season isn’t over yet. We need to continue to build off of wins like this one.”

Charles Henderson improves to 4-0 in area play.

Coupled with Thursday’s 10-2 win over Rehobeth, the Trojans are sitting in the driver’s seat for the area title with three area contests against Carroll remaining.

Tripp Blackmon got the start on the mound for Charles Henderson and struck out six in 7 2/3 innings.

Austin Adler was 2-for-4 at the plate for the Trojans while Lawson and Luke Hastings had a hit each.

Charles Henderson will travel to take on Dothan High School on April 2. Game time is set for 4:30p.m.
