Michael David Wicks

Michael David Wicks, 51, of New Hope, passed away at home on Friday, February 24, 2012, after a long illness.  He was born in New Orleans, attended the University of South Alabama Mobile and Troy University.  Mike’s father was the Director of Missions for the Salem Troy Baptist Association from 1982-2000.  His mother taught school in the area.  He was an electrician.  He is survived by his parents, Harold and Rebecca (Branum) Wicks; brother, Daryl; sister, Debra Kinnane (husband Ron); niece, Megan; nephews, Ryan and Daniel of Wichita, KS; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Galilee Baptist Church in New Hope.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Galilee Baptist Building Fund, Gentiva Hospice or Clearview Cancer Institute.
