A birthday parade

As part of Read Across America Day, Troy Elementary School Kindergarten classes treated other students to a parade Friday afternoon.
Read Across America Day commemorates the birthday and life of Dr. Seuss. Students, led by the Cat in the Hat riding in a Troy Fire Department truck, donned their own kitty whiskers and striped hats while members of the Charles Henderson High School band played a marching tune.
Earlier in the day members of the community came into classrooms to read books to Troy Elementary School students.
