Loyd Harrison

Loyd Harrison, age 84, of Brundidge, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Troy Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services were held Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Brundidge United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Lawler and Rev. Jimmy Spikes officiating.  Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.  Visitation was held Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Harrison; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina Harrison (Robert) Maloy of Cottondale, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff (Karla) Harrison of Enon; grandsons, Allen and Tyler Harrison; two sisters, Allene Snider and Celia (Roy) Turner; his brother, Gene (Betty) Harrison; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Harrison; his parents, Warren and Amorette Harrison; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Snider.

The family requests memorials to be made to the Brundidge United Methodist Church and to the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
