The second quarter was an offensive struggle for both sides as full-court pressure created numerous turnovers and opportunities for the Trojans. The Wilcox pressure was up to the challenge as well as the only points of the quarter came on a Mitchell three pointer, a Shockley free throw and a basket by Jackson. The CHHS defense kept the score 28-18 at the halftime break.

The third quarter saw the visitors stretch their lead to 32 – 20 before the Trojans mounted a comeback. Two steals by Robert Lee led to a basket and two free throws. A three pointer by Jackson cut the lead to 32-27 but the next three Trojan trips up the court were unsuccessful in narrowing the gap.

The visiting Jaguars then increased their margin to 38-29 before a late three pointer by Jackson got the lead down to six. Charles Henderson entered the final quarter down by that 38-32 margin.

The final quarter was filled with great drama from start to finish. Charles Henderson came roaring out on a 6-0 run to tie the game at 38. Shockley had a driving lay-in and two free throws from another attempt while Jackson added a rebound and follow up basket.

The score was tied again at 42 when Mitchell blocked a Jaguar field goal attempt, leading to a breakaway lay-in by Davon Woods. The guests responded with a 6-0 run of their own courtesy of three rebounds from missed attempts and follow up baskets.

Again the Trojans would not go out quietly. A driving basket from Mitchell, a Shockley free throw and two more free throws from Jackson cut the margin to 48-47.

After another rebound and follow up basket by Wilcox put the Jaguars up 50-47, the final points of the evening for CHHS were two made free throws by Lee. The guests were able to force a couple of late Trojan turnovers and hit three of four free throws to ice the victory.

Shockley ended his career at Charles Henderson with eight points before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Mitchell and Jackson led the Trojans with 14 points each while Lee added 11.
