Council rejects bids for nutrition center

The Troy City Council met Tuesday night, following the Mayor for a Day seventh-grade council session.

After review and approval of the last meeting’s minutes, the council briefly discussed a few items.

•Council members rejected all bids for the nutrition center facility and will open bidding again as soon as possible.

•The council awarded the bid for a new excavator to Flint Equipment Company for $43,989.77.

•Kenworth of Montgomery came in with the lowest qualifying bid for purchase of two new garbage trucks for the city at a price of $318,690.42 and was awarded the bid.

•The council carried over a resolution discussing matching community enhancement funds  for the nutrition center.
