Jeanette Caldwell
Jeanette Wynne Caldwell, age 94, of Brundidge, died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Born September 27, 1917, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Caldwell; a son, James E. Caldwell Jr.; her parents, John T. and Lena Tatom Wynne of Banks; and her brothers, S. Bennett (Nannette) Wynne and Wilbur Wynne. She is survived by her daughter; Wynnette (Frank) Fryer of Naperville, IL; a daughter-in-law, Fran C. (Laurie) Atkinson of Huntsville; grandchildren, Elisa (Jamie) McLean of Burr Ridge, IL, Kevin (Juliene) Fryer and Kenneth Fryer of Naperville, IL, and Greg Caldwell of Cookeville, TN; great-grandchildren, Kendal and Bryce Bernard and Nolan Fryer.
Jeanette was a long time member of Brundidge United Methodist Church, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader, traveler, bridge player and Auburn Fan. She leaves many friends throughout the area.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jimmie Spikes and Rev. Michael Lawler officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kevin Fryer, Kenneth Fryer, Jamie McLean, Bill Caldwell, Mike Tatom, Joey Strother, Don Dickert and Richard Chapman. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherroll Tatom, Lamar Tatom, Tommy Strother, Billy Jackson, Jimmy Hollis, Homer Homann, Russ Dunnum and James Green.
