Joel Richardson

Joel Richardson, age 87, of Goshen, died February 1, 2012 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.  Services will be held at noon on February 10, 2012 at Rock Elvy Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Rock Elvy Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.  Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 from noon until 5 p.m.

Mr. Richardson was born on March 24, 1924 in Pike County to the late Rev. Moses and Mary Richardson.  He attended Shellhorn School.  He retired from CSX Railroad and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

Family and friends will serve at pallbearers with the Provo Beauty Lodge #396 serving as honorary pallbearers.  Friends of the family will serve as floral bearers.
