Lamar Siler

Lamar Siler passed away on January 30, 2012 at his residence.  Services for Mr. Siler will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Springhill with Rev. Joseph Thomas officiating and George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Lamar Siler was born September 17, 1957 to the late Henry and Verbie Y. SilerAt a very young age he accepted Christ and joined the Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church.  At the age of fifteen he left Alabama (1972) and moved to Delaware.  After working for twenty-five years for the state of Delaware, he took an early retirement in 2005.  He was dedicated to his work at DelDOT.  During this time he created many lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless people.  Lamar was loved by all and will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jessie, Jimmy and Willie.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories one son, Michael Ray, Middletown, DE; devoted brothers, Henry, Jr. (Bernadette) Siler, Newark, DE; Thomas Siler, Troy; and Kenneth (Anabel) Siler, San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Mary (Melvin) Wright, Barbara Siler and Cheryl Hendricks, all of Troy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
