William L. Paul, Jr., age 89, a resident of Henderson, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Mike Thomas officiating.  Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2011 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Mr. Paul is survived by his sons, Danny (Gladys) Paul of Henderson and Michael (Pam) Paul of Semmes; his grandsons, Ryan Paul of Semmes and Adam (Kelsey) Paul USAF Okinawa, Japan; granddaughters, Shawn Littlefield of Dothan and Alisa (Jared) Smith of Tuscaloosa; a great granddaughter, Olivia Littlefield of Dothan; a brother, Donald Paul of Henderson; sister, Gail Walker of Elk City, OK.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Qualls Paul; his parents, W.L. Paul Sr. and Maud Stinson Paul; a brother, Stinson Paul; and two sisters, Elizabeth Duncan and Violet Hicks.

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Paul, Don Paul, Dwight Paul, Bobby Duncan, Ron Drinkard, and Bobby Drinkard.  In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial be made to the Hopewell Cemetery Fund or the Henderson Vol. Fire Department.
