James Royce Blackmon

James Royce Blackmon, age 75, of Glenwood, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Rev. Bobby Weeks officiating. Burial will follow the Providence Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Hughes Blackmon of Glenwood; his children, Patricia Blackmon (Charles) Bedingfield of Lake Martin, Jimmy (Judy) Blackmon of Luverne, Timmy (Stephanie) Blackmon of Glenwood, Jeffrey (Sherrie) Blackmon of Fleetwood; his grandchildren, Christy (Matthew) Owen, Ashley Bryan, Courtney Blackmon, Mackenzie Blackmon, Chris (April) Blackmon, Brian (Mandy) Blackmon, Russ (Kasey) Bedingfield, and Cooper Blackmon; eleven great-grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Abigail (Dutson) Furr, Lauris (Willie) Dolloff, Barbara Jean (Alton) Mitchell, Ronnie (June) Blackmon, John (Myra) Blackmon and Patsy (Bobby) Owens; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Odessa Blackmon, and a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Glad McBryde.
