Jack McLaney

Jack McLaney, age 85, of Troy, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Troy Health & Rehab.  Funeral services for Mr. McLaney will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Helms and Rev. John Phil McLaney, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Clayton with Green Hills Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Mr. McLaney was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious and Mattie McLaney; two sons, Terry Wayne McLaney and Allen Lavon McLaney; two brothers, Jim McLaney and Woodrow McLaney; and one sister, Grace Green.

He is survived by his wife, Mary McLaney of Troy; sons, Darrell McLaney (Judy) of Ozark,  Charles McLaney of Orlando, FL, and William McLaney of Troy; daughter, Christine Brooks (Max) of Troy; brothers, Douglas McLaney (Nan) of Virginia, Curry McLaney, Jr. of Brundidge, Pete McLaney (Annette) of Clio, and Johnny Phil McLaney, Sr. (Gwen) of Louisville; sisters, Jenny Pittman of Eufaula, Sara McLendon (Oyed) of Louisville, Janice Davis (Jimmy) of Eufaula, and Ann Tennile (Carl) of Eufaula; grandchildren, Ashley Porterfield, John Porterfield (Bathsheba) of Eufaula, Mike Brooks, Tim Brooks (Jennifer) of Troy, Timmy McLaney (Shannon) of Slocomb, Jason McLaney (Ashley) of Ft. Myers, FL, Shannon Maynard (Jon) of Zephyr Hills, FL, Stacy Sibley (Colee) of Slaughter, LA, and Charles Wayne McLaney of Troy; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Norton, Roy Mahaffey, Jr., Billy Wayne Pittman, James McLaney, Colee Sibley and John Porterfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Evergreen Cemetery in Clayton.
