Pike County falls to Dothan

Pike County High School fell to Dothan, 62-43, on Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs fell behind early but used several Tiger turnovers to climb back to within four, 20-16, when Deandre Moore connected on consecutive lay-ups and Marlon Meadow followed with a jumper.

Dothan would streak their lead back out to 12 points on a Trey Jackson three-pointer just before halftime.

Pike County (3-15, 2-3) attempted to chip away in the second half but couldn’t seem to put a lengthy run together.

The Bulldogs would cut the deficit to 10 twice in the final two quarters but would get no closer.

Moore would lead Pike County in scoring with 12 points.

Meadows added eight while Azriel Larkin chipped in with five.

Pike County will host Geneva on Friday.

The girl’s team lost to Dothan, 65-26.
