Jennifer Renee Richards

Jennifer Renee Richards, age 34, of Springhill, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Baptist South in Montgomery.  Funeral services for Ms. Richards will be Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Jackson officiating and Green Hills Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow at the Union Springs church cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2012 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Jennifer was born on July 22, 1977 to Ms. Flora Richards and Robert Tellis.  She attended Troy and Springhill Elementary Schools.  She graduated from PCHS in 1996.  She went on to work briefly at Southland and Conagra Farms before attending Enterprise State Junior College.  She spent the majority of her life being a caretaker and devoted friend.  She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Curtasia Denise Weary; maternal grandparents, Grady Richards, Sr. and Artha M. Richards; and paternal grandfather, Elbert Ted Tellis.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Flora M. Richards; father, Robert Earl Tellis; grandmother, Thelma Tellis, all of Troy; brothers, Robert E. Tellis of Brundidge, Reginald D. Russell, Michael L. Russell, and Kenneth Walters, all of Montgomery; sisters, Cheryl Bean Davis of Troy and Charlene Grayson of Enterprise; aunts, Rosie L. Wilcoxon, Mary Dortch, Garrett Lucas (Willie), Tarrie Rodgers (Norman) and Irene Mahone (Jimmy), all of Troy; uncles, Grady Richards, Jr. (Mary), Barney Tellis, Frank Tellis, Johnny Tellis, all of Troy, and Willie Tellis of Atlanta, GA; godchildren, Brione, D’Aveyon, and Leon all of Troy; godmothers, Ms. Corene Jones of Trenton, NJ and Ms. Linda Bell of Troy; god brother, Mario Jones of Troy; friends, Mr. & Mrs. John Lewis White of Troy, Mr. & Mrs. Dewayne Caldwell of Elba,  Renee Thompson, Sharon Maddox, Dianne Haynes and Tosha Atkinson, all of Troy, and Tyrese Bell of Newark, NJ; devoted cousins, Lucious Pearson, Larry Wilcoxon and Vanessa Baker, all of Troy; a host of relatives, cousins and friends.
