University police are investigating an overnight theft on the Troy University campus.

University Police Chief John McCall said that someone stole brass fittings from a construction trailer at the site of the new Trojan Arena Wednesday night.

There is no suspect, currently, but police will be checking with scrap metal businesses in the area to see if anyone has attempted to sell the stolen property.

McCall said he did not yet have a dollar value of the fittings taken.

An Internet search on Google shows different brass fittings retail between $2 to more than $30, depending on the size and function.
