Karen Wilkes Carson

Karen Wilkes Carson was called home by the Lord on December 12, 2011 after a three year battle with cancer. She was born in 1956 in Montgomery, graduated from Charles Henderson High School in 1974 and attended Troy State University.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard Carson; three children, Ricky Carson, Crystal Riewerts, and Rebecca Roak; two son-in-laws, Adam Riewerts and Aaron Roak; a sister, Mardi Medley; four brothers, Jimmy Wilkes, Chuck Wilkes, Peter Wilkes and Greg Wilkes; three sister-in-laws, Jane Wilkes, Carol Wilkes, and Diane Wilkes; and two grandchildren, Noah and Emma Riewerts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. James C. and Pearl M. Wilkes. As a friend, mother, wife and sister, she will be dearly missed. We love you!

Her life celebration will be held in Orlando, Florida on January 4, 2012.
