Feel better Trojan faithful, Nevada really cares less

According to this report, Nevada has sold 10 – YES 10 – tickets to the Hawaii Bowl on Christmas eve. I’m sure there are a lot of reasons for that but one would have to imagine a FBS school playing in a bowl could sell more than 10 tickets. WOW!
ULL just played a major part in setting the New Orleans Bowl record (granted they were playing in their home state) and Arkansas State and FIU should both bring a good crowd with them to their bowls.
As a conference, the Sun Belt averaged 19,445 a game. Nevada drew 15,776 for their six home game (the final two brought in less than 11,700 each). Only one Sun Belt school drew fewer than 12,000. ULL did it in each of its last two home games.
Next time you look out and see 14,000 strong at Veterans Memorial Stadium (counting the band) at least you can say “At least I’m not watching Nevada (or ULL).”
Of course, most of us wouldn’t mind watching the Trojans in Hawaii right now would we?
