The City of Troy Planning Commission voted to table a decision concerning a preliminary plat request of the Grace Road Subdivision.

The plan for the project shows a 20-lot subdivision that complies with all legal issues reviewed by the commission.

Current residents who live on the road attended the meeting and brought up several questions about water lines and road paving, and they voiced their concerns about the changing aesthetic of the area.

Residents said they were upset the subdivision lots were so close together in an location where existing homeowners purchased their property because of the distance between houses and the style of the area.

The commission decided to postpone their decision in an effort to allow Robert Floyd and Buck Watkins, who presented the project, to work with community members to work out issues.

The commission will meet again within 30 days to decide if the plat request will be approved.
