Edward H. Tillery

Mr. Edward H. Tillery of Troy passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at his residence. He was 74. Funeral services for Edward H. Tillery will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Leon Fortune and Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. He will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, December 17, at the funeral home in Troy. Margaret’s loving husband, Edward H. Tillery passed away after 53 years of marriage. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was born March 5, 1937 in Pike County to the late Walter Ed Tillery and Dorothy Lee Jordan Tillery. We honor him for serving our county for 37 years in the Alabama National Guard. Surviving relatives include his wife: Margaret Tillery, Troy; daughter; Joyce Davis; Troy; grandson and wife: Scotty and Jessica Davis, Dothan; granddaughter: Sloane Davis, Pensacola, Fl; great grandchildren: Emma and Austin Davis, Dothan; sister: Myrtle Norris and a brother: Jimmy Tillery, both of Troy; brother-in-law: Johnny Kilpatrick, Phenix City, AL; a sister-in-law: Nell Hall, Salem, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
