Yummies at Miss Colleen’s in Troy

I had never stepped foot inside Miss Colleen’s (on E. Church Street) before lunch today, but I was so pleasantly surprised.
The high ceilings, antique chandeliers and hard wood floors were inviting and there was a lovely stained-glass window above the table where my coworkers and I dined at lunch.
My favorite thing, however, was the service. I am a vegan, so it’s sometimes hard to find something substantial to eat at local southern restaurants. However, I asked our server to be creative and create a wrap for me with whatever veggies were in the kitchen. He didn’t skip a beat at the ask and what he brought me was a wonderful chipotle wrap filled with steamed broccoli and carrots, coupled with tomatoes and lettuce.
So good!
And our drinks and food were served in stemware and clear glass plates. Special, but not pretentious.
I’ll definitely go back…and take friends!
