Troy Parks and Recreation is extending the deadline for basketball registration and encourages anyone interested to sign up to play.

“It’s a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in basketball to play with the city,” David Dickey, Director of Youth Sports said.

Boys and girls ages 7-12 can register from Nov. 28-Dec. 4 at the Troy Community Recreation Center.

The season will begin in January after Christmas break ends.

“The sooner we can get everyone signed up, the sooner we can begin practicing,” Dickey said. “It’s a fun sport and great for physical fitness.”
