Through all the adversity, the challenges, and tough loses this season Charles Henderson can guarantee one thing with a win Friday night … a winning record.

At 5-4, the Trojans can earn their 10th winning mark under head coach Hugh Fountain during his 16 year tenure.

“It’s a big game for us for several reasons but, obviously, we want to have a winning record,” Fountain said.

The Trojans have had difficulty in big games this season. In the team’s four losses, Charles Henderson has been out-scored by just 19 combined points.

Turnovers and penalties have cost the Trojans in several of those contests but Fountain feels that, with a playoff run, his team can put those shortcomings behind them.

“As long as you’re playing (in the postseason) you can redeem those mistakes.”

Two Trojan players can set individual marks in the next two games. Courtney Downing is just 215 yards shy of Cecade Pennington’s single-season rushing record of 1,523 yards. Downing currently has 1,307 yards.

Receiver Robert Lee is also chasing the team’s single-season receiving yards record of 646 set by Will Jones in 2000. Lee has 480 yards on the season.

Kickoff in Enterprise is set for 7 p.m.
