In the second quarter, Drew Starling rushed for a 10-yard score to give Pike the two touchdown advantage.

The Cougars would respond in the third quarter on a 50-yard scoring run.

In the fourth, Crenshaw scored again but the Patriot defense held on the two-point conversion preserving the win.

“I am proud of these kids,” junior varsity coach Bob Pickett said. “They worked hard everyday and got better as the season went on.”

The Patriots pee-wee team also finalized its regular season with a 34-0 thumping of Crenshaw Christian.

It was all Pike the entire way as the Cougars had no answers for the Patriots overpowering offensive attack. Scores came by land and air for the pee-wee squad who improved to 7-1 for the season.

Cason Murphree hauled in two touchdown passes both from 22-yards out from the arm of Reed Jinright.

Reed Johnson would rush for a score and Wood Jinright would also add a 38-yard touchdown on the ground.

Spenser Floyd capped the Patriots scoring in the fourth quarter with a 81-yard scoring sprint.
