Troy woman charged in stabbing
A Troy woman faces felony assault charges in the stabbing of a 52-year-old man.
Police arrested Dianne P. Hood, 27, of Troy, at approximately 8 p.m. Sunday. She was charged with first degree assault and was being held on $50,000 bond in the Pike County Jail, according to Chief Jimmy Ennis.
Police said Hood and the victim were involved in an altercation early Sunday at a residence in the 100 block of Mincher Street. Hood apparently left the residence and then returned and stabbed the victim in the chest, Ennis said in a statement.
The man was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center and airlifted to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, where he was listed in stable but serious condition.
Ennis said the case remains under investigation.
