CHHS falls to Ariton

The Trojans lost a tough one to the Purple Cats for the second time this season. CHHS struggled through four sets, 4-25, 25-23, 19-25, 24-26.

Becca Hartley led with 10 points, four aces, two digs, and one kill.

Madison Carpenter had seven points and an ace while Mikensy Darby added six points, two blocks and an ace.

The junior varsity team lost 9-25 and 8-25.

The Trojans will face Pike County tomorrow in Troy at 4:30 p.m.

Bulldogs split in tri-match

Pike County spilt in a double dip in Luverne Monday afternoon.

The Bulldogs lost to Geneva in the first match 21-25, 15-25, 11-25.

Pike County would rebound to top Luverne 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Kaitlyn Allen lead with 12 kills in the two matches. Janilya Coleman added 13 kills and Rebecca Parker had two aces and two kills.

Morgan downs PLAS

The Patriots fell in a monster of a match against Morgan Academy Monday.

Pike dropped the first two sets before rebounding and ultimately falling in five by scores of 13-25, 24-26, 25-22, 25-18, 14-16.

Ellie Barron totaled a whopping 32 digs for the match.

Josie Free had 18 assists while Marlee Tunstill turned in a double-double with 14 digs and 10 kills to accompany her five aces.

Kailee Taylor also had a good day turning in 22 digs and five kills.

Carrley Barron registered 10 kills and five digs. Jaylan Reynolds picked up 13 kills, four digs, three blocks, two aces and an assist.

The Patriots drop to 2-2 on the season.

The junior varsity squad won by scores of 14-25, 25-23, 15-7.
