Troy Police are investigating a shooting that took place late Tuesday night in the 400 block of Aster Avenue.

According to police reports, Frederick Lewis, 20, was shot in the neck and the left hand in an incident that occurred around 11 p.m.

He was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center for treatment and later transferred to a Montgomery hospital.

Sgt. Benny Scarbrough said police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Emphasis at this point is on acquiring information.

“Anybody with information in connection with the shooting incident needs to call the TPD,” Scarbrough said.
