Services for Donnie “Don Juan” McNabb, 57, of Troy who died 06-09-11 was at 1:30 p.m. June 15, 2011 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Troy with Rev. George Gilchrist officiating.
Burial was under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.
Donnie’s education began at Southside Elementary, Academy Street and Charles Henderson High School. He graduated in 1971. He continued his collegiate education at Grambling State University. He later joined the United States Army and made his home in Los Angeles, California. He relocated to Troy where he was employed by Sanders Lead until he became ill. He lived the rest of his life surrounded by family, friends, love and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy McNabb Sr.; sisters, Patrice Jeter and Leshie McNabb.
Survivors include his mother, Annie Lois McNabb of Troy; sisters, Barbara A Terry of Troy and Vachon M. Watts of Gadsden; brothers, Jimmy McNabb, Jr. of California, Maxie McNabb of Troy; Ronnie McNabb of California, David McNabb of Florida and Tracy McNabb of Troy; brother-in-law, James Terry; sisters-in law, Cynthia and Tracy McNabb and JoAnne and Jimmy McNabb; niece, Sunya Terry of Montgomery; nephews, Kwaku McNabb of Florida and Suni McNabb of Dothan; cousin, Jerome McInnis, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; childhood friends, Kenneth “Snooky” Jones and Jose’ Henderson and a brotherly friend, Daron Fayson.
Pallbearers were Masonic Brothers and Charles Henderson High School Class of 1971.
Floral bearers were Charles Henderson High School Class of 1971.
