Annette Tew Adkins, 68, of the Tennille Community passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at her home.

Visitation for Mrs. Adkins was Monday, May 23, 2011 at her home located at 125 County Road 4425 in Brundidge beginning at 4 p.m. until 12 noon Tuesday, May 24, 2011.

There will be a one hour lie-in-state at Springfield Baptist Church beginning at 1 p.m.

Services for Mrs. Adkins will be at 2 p.m. with Revs. Kenneth Baggett, Ashley Faulk and Kenneth Earles officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Larry Adkins; daughter, Monica Shea Adkins; son and daughter-in-law Glen and Samantha Adkins; grandchildren, Cera Adkins, Alexis Adkins and Ashlyn Adkins; great-grandson, Dawson Perkins; sisters, Carolyn and Ray Prestage, Evelyn and Ronnie Campbell and Shirley Tew; brothers, Iris Allen Tew, Jr. and Lee and Pamela Tew; cousin, Cookie Graham; special caregiver, Lucy Outlaw and brother-in-law, Jim Fendley of Georgetown, GA.

Mrs. Adkins was preceded in death by her parents, Iris L. Tew, Sr. and Florence Davis Tew.
