Ruby Jewel Whittington

Ruby Jewel Whittington, 87, a resident of Montgomery, died Monday, April 25, 2011, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Leak-Memory Chapel with the Rev. Ed Deabler and the Rev. Fred Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.

Survivors include her son, Daniel Whittington (Ry); sister, Joyce McClendon; two grandchildren, Debora Stephens (Larry); three great-grandchildren, Jaiton Stephens (Kari), Brett Stephens, and Dawson Whittington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Gibson Whittington. Memorial contributions may be made to Dalraida United Methodist Church or to Community Hospice.
