Dean Alan Messick, age 47, of Goshen, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Messick were Monday, April 4, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Weedville Baptist Church with Dr. John Brannon officiating. A committal service will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation was Sunday night from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Mr. Messick was avid about his love of the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Messick; one son, Ben Messick; his parents, Raymond and Colleen Messick; his mother and father-in-law, Tommy and Joy Stamey; two brothers, Chris Messick and Jason Messick; one sister, Amber Messick; three nieces and one nephew.
